Garland County Warrant RecordsGarland County Warrant Records

For a Garland County municipal warrant, go straight to Garland County District Court and its clerk, because one countywide court runs the city and county dockets instead of a set of separate city courts. Start by matching the citation to the right docket, whether a city officer or a deputy wrote it. Search the court's case system for the name and case number. Then ask the clerk to confirm the live status, since a docket can show a failure-to-appear entry without saying what to do next. Police and sheriff staff may confirm service details. The issuing court alone controls any recall, reset, payment, or new date.

Garland County Municipal Court Warrants

Garland County runs its municipal work through Garland County District Court, part of Arkansas's Forty-First Judicial District. Its dockets cover traffic offenses and misdemeanors. Hot Springs city ordinances, county ordinances, and preliminary felony matters land there too. Miss a setting or a payment, and the docket may show an FTA warrant, a bench warrant, or a failure-to-pay event. Arkansas records use those labels. The Texas phrase capias pro fine does not appear. A city officer's citation can still sit on a county docket, so the court matters more than who wrote the ticket. Garland County publishes no separate municipal warrant portal. The sheriff posts no complete warrant roster either. Search ARCourts can expose docket events, but it works as a case search rather than a full warrant database, so clerk confirmation is the decisive step because the court controls the case and any recall.

Garland County's District Court Model

One countywide model prevents a common routing mistake. Not every town here keeps its own court. Hot Springs matters sit on a city docket at District Court. Mountain Pine abolished its City Court effective December 20, 2011, and moved its jurisdiction to Garland County District Court. Fountain Lake and Lonsdale offer no separate municipal warrant portal.

Verified court route: Garland County District Court, 607 Ouachita Avenue, Hot Springs, 501-321-6765.

The clerk's office keeps hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closing for lunch from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Call ahead in Garland County before you drive over. A temporary closure, an appearance instruction, or event hours can change your best next step. The clerk explains procedure but cannot give legal advice.

Garland County Cities With Municipal Courts

Garland County has four incorporated municipalities. Each uses the court routes listed here. "District Court" means the matching city or county docket, not a separate courthouse in every town.

Hot Springs Village does not appear. It is an unincorporated census-designated place, not one of Garland County's four incorporated municipalities.

Hot Springs Municipal Warrant Checks

Hot Springs gives residents two distinct contacts. District Court controls the city docket and the legal status. For your own active arrest warrant, go in person to the Hot Springs Police Department at 641 Malvern Avenue with state photo ID. The department's official FAQ will not disclose another person's warrant. So it is not a public name-search service.

Use Search ARCourts, then call 501-321-6765 for confirmation and resolution instructions.

Hot Springs Police

Use the in-person own-warrant route or call 501-321-6789. Police service is available around the clock; administrative hours are weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Police can tell you whether service is still pending in Garland County. Only the court can say whether its process was recalled, paid, reset, or set for a new appearance.

Checking a Municipal Court Warrant

Start with the citation, case number, or the exact name used in Garland County court. If a result is unclear, use every relevant channel.

  1. Search Search ARCourts and select Garland County, the right location, and the proper case group.
  2. For a citation, use the Arkansas citation portal with name plus citation number, or name plus driver-license/state-ID number and date of birth.
  3. Call District Court at 501-321-6765, extension 1, to ask if the event is active, recalled, or reset.
  4. Use HSPD's in-person own-warrant route when applicable; call sheriff Records at 501-622-3676 for county-held service records.
  5. Request a record from the correct custodian if needed, and consult an attorney before a court appearance.

Garland County's citation portal is no warrant list. A blank result there is not legal clearance.

Garland Municipal Warrant Labels

Search ARCourts may show FTA WARRANT ISSUED, BENCH WARRANT ISSUED, or FTA WARRANT RECALLED on a Garland County docket. Read the court, event date, and case group together. Then check every later entry.

FTA
Failure to appear at a required setting.
Failure to pay
A balance or plan event that may lead to court process.
Recalled
The court withdrew the warrant, subject to confirmation that the update reached serving agencies.
AW or SW
Arkansas warrant-docket prefixes used under judiciary procedures.

Remote display in Garland County can lag or omit restricted material. One old entry is not enough. Ask the clerk to read the current status instead.

Inside a Municipal Court Warrant

Treat any warrant event as part of the full Garland County case file. The key fields tie it to a court. They also reveal any later action.

Subject nameThe name on the case, verified with the clerk.

An old issue event alone does not prove a warrant is active today.

Garland Municipal Warrants and Sheriff Service

The Garland County Sheriff's Office can receive and serve court process, keep a service record, or hold a person at the detention center. It never replaces District Court as the office that issues or recalls a city-docket warrant. The sheriff posts no public warrant roster. The main office sits at 525 Ouachita Avenue, reachable at 501-622-3660. Records answers at 501-622-3676. Dispatch uses 501-622-3666. For the detention center at 3564 Albert Pike Road, call 501-651-7801. Say plainly what record or confirmation you need. A sound sequence goes court status first, serving-agency confirmation second, and a court recheck after resolution. That order cuts the risk of trusting a recall that has not yet reached dispatch in Garland County.

Mountain Pine Municipal Warrant Transfer

An Arkansas Judiciary-hosted ordinance shut down Mountain Pine City Court in 2011 and moved its jurisdiction to Garland County District Court. Its citations moved with it. Skip the hunt for a city-court clerk. Distrust any unverified directory too. Use District Court and Search ARCourts. If a docket shows FTA, failure to pay, bench warrant, or license action, call extension 1 before visiting. Ask whether cash, a new date, a plan reset, bond, or another appearance applies. Official sources conflict on the Mountain Pine police phone, so treat neither number as a guaranteed warrant line.

Garland Municipal Warrant Record Access

The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act of 1967 sets the public-record framework for Garland County. Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 governs court-record access. Warrant material is generally open once returned. Exceptions exist. Sealed or restricted files stay closed, remote bench-warrant display can be limited before return or transfer, and juvenile files carry added confidentiality.

Key Rules:

Arkansas Freedom of Information Act of 1967, Ark. Code Ann. ยง25-19-101 et seq. sets the state public-record framework.

Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 governs access and exclusions for court records.

Arkansas juvenile confidentiality law limits access to protected juvenile material.

Garland County's NextRequest portal publishes request narratives, so keep personal details out of the text. A birth date, license number, Social Security number, or phone number does not belong in a public records request.

Garland Municipal Warrant Payment Paths

Paying online shapes your case more than you might expect. The state citation site takes Visa, Discover, or MasterCard for eligible listed citations and tacks on a service charge. Treat that payment as a guilty or no-contest plea and a waiver. It also does not guarantee recall of an existing warrant or license restoration, so check with the court before relying on it. Garland County District Court takes a different route: an outstanding-warrant payment at the court must be cash, and phone payments are not accepted. A payment-plan portal and an ability-to-pay form are available too. The form only asks for lower monthly payments, though. It does not itself recall a warrant. Amnesty events in 2022, 2023, and March 2026 offered temporary paths, and the 2023 terms included a $50 fee, a full-pay discount, and eligible license-hold release. Treat those as one-time offers, not standing promises. A 2026 report of more than 270 warrants served described that single event in Garland County, not the total of open warrants.

How to Resolve a Municipal Court Warrant

Resolution starts with the issuing court in Garland County, whose clerks can explain options but cannot give legal advice.

  1. Confirm the case number, warrant event, court, and present status.
  2. Ask whether cash payment, a new date, plan reset, bond, or attorney-coordinated appearance applies.
  3. Read any plea waiver and ask if an ability-to-pay request fits the case.
  4. Complete the required act, keep proof, and ask when recall reaches police and sheriff systems.
  5. Recheck with the clerk and serving agency before assuming clearance.

Warning: An online payment or old recall entry is not enough by itself; obtain current confirmation from the issuing court.

Before you go, know the house rules. The Garland County Courts Building bars weapons, phones, cameras, recording devices, gum, food, and drinks, so build in time for screening and the lunch closure. A lawyer, not the clerk, can advise on surrender, bond, pleas, and the legal consequences of each.
